The main objective of the project was to achieve a reduction of CO2 emissions, creating innovative ventilation systems with reduced energy consumption. The objective of the ECOVENT demonstration project was to familiarize with the creation of an ecology-friendly ventilation system in the form of a hybrid ventilation system, using the French and Swedish corporate knowledge and experience in the design and manufacture of ventilation systems, as well as the experience in the adaptation of the systems for specific needs. The specific objective of this project was to test the suitability of the above systems for Latvia, specific for its cold climate with relatively high humidity. This objective was pursued by continuously observing the working capacity of the systems within the period of a year.
