Online format is not welcoming to a networking event, so the members of Baltic capacity projects and NCP’s decided, to not invite other projects to this meeting. Normally, all LIFE projects and LIFE activists are invited to participate, but the online format limits the possibilities of networking, hence the decision to hold a smaller event this time as an exception.
The event consisted of three presentations from each Baltic state followed by discussions. Latvian, Lithuanian and Estonian representatives shared news and updates about their projects and issues that implementers of LIFE programme face in their countries. One of the main topics on the agenda was Covid-19 and the challenges that it brought to project implementers. Additionally, After-LIFE plans and future of all three capacity projects were discussed, to insure further cooperation in future.
Baltic Networking meetings have established a link between the Baltic LIFE programme activists, allowing to share best practices, and other valuable information. These established relationships also allow to invite interested stake holders to Latvian online webinars, if they are held in English and are topical to LIFE programme activists from the rest of the Baltic states.
