This event is a great opportunity for the projects to share their experience and to discuss topical issues related to the implementation of the LIFE programme and the challenges that the project teams are facing. This year the meeting had 22 participants, representing 9 organisations and 10 LIFE projects, but it must be noted, that the size of the event was limited because of the laws implemented in Latvia in order to stop the spread of Covid-19.
The first part of the event consisted of traveling to Bēne, territory of CRAF LIFE project, where the participants were introduced to the innovative technologies that are being tested in the project. After the useful tour, participants went to Jelgava, to share presentations about their projects and discuss topical issues. CAP LIFE LAT team used this event to survey the participants about their training needs. One topic in particular arose in this discussion – participants said that they would like to learn more about communication, with focus on online activities and online seminars.
Another important topic that was discussed was the adaptation and implementation of project activities during the pandemic and many restrictions that were put in place because of it. Participants shared their best practices and advice that would help to adapt to this situation better.
