Informative seminars on the LIFE funding in Liepāja and Jelgava

Everyone is welcomed to informative seminars on absorption of the LIFE funding under a project developed by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development and the Administration of Latvian Environmental Protection Fund.

The LIFE programme is an instrument financed by the European Union for implementation of innovative and sustainable improvements of the environmental quality and climate change. The total available investments over the LIFE programme funding period 2014–2020 is EUR 3.4 billion.

Any legal entity — entrepreneurs, social organisations, local governments, and non-governmental organisations — planning for innovative and sustainable improvements may qualify for this funding by submitting project proposals. The support provided by the LIFE programme is very broad. Although historically such support has mainly been used by non-governmental organisations for implementation of nature conservation projects in Latvia, the LIFE programme is a convenient and accessible way, inter alia, for the private entrepreneurs to introduce or test new products, technologies, or methods, aimed at improvement of the environmental and climate quality.

Seminars are to be held:

On 8 November 2016, from 12.00 to 13.30 in Liepāja (Rožu iela 6, Grand Hall of Liepāja City Council); AGENDA IS AVAILABLE HERE

On 9 November 2016, from 11.00 to 13.00 in Jelgava (Katoļu iela 2b, 3rd floor, Room No. 208); AGENDA IS AVAILABLE HERE
