The aim of LIFE Programme Award 2018 is to promote LIFE program in Latvia by identifying and showcasing the most successful LIFE project implementers in Latvia from 2016 to 2018. The most successful LIFE projects implemented in Latvia so far will be honoured at the event.
The event will provide an overview of the contribution of the LIFE program to Latvia, as well as the achievements of the projects that have been implemented in Latvia within the LIFE program.
LIFE Programme Award 2018 will be presented by Minister of Environmental Protection and Regional Development Ministry – Kaspars Gerhards in 6 nominations:
- Project that has carried out territorially largest nature conservation activities;
- The most publicly active project;
- Top rated new project;
- The most innovative project;
- The most ambitious project;
- Nationally most singificant project.
The event is organized by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development and the Administration of the Latvian Environmental Protection Fund within the framework of the joint project of the European Commission LIFE Program CAPLIFELAT. The aim of the event is to promote the recognition of the LIFE program by promoting the most successful and best Latvian LIFE projects.
