Support for project applicants after the end of CAP project

On 31st of December 2020, CAP LIFE LAT project concluded its activities. Main objective of the CAP LIFE LAT project was to increase the volume of successful LIFE projects in Latvia by supporting the project applicants and beneficiaries

 To achieve this objective, the LIFE Help desk was established, and it provided advice and recommendations from experienced experts. For more efficient achievement of the objective, regular trainings for the LIFE project applicants and beneficiaries were organised, a mentoring programme was developed, and a special Advisory Board has been established within the project. The LIFE support unit provided, among other, translation of LIFE documentation and guidelines.  
 
In order to ensure access to the support mechanisms established during the project and to ensure continuity, the majority of the functions performed by the Help Desk will be maintained after the end of the project. HD will continue to provide project applicants and implementers with consultations, organise events and trainings and continue the promotion of LIFE programme in Latvia. 
 
Starting form 1st of March 2021, LIFE Help desk will continue its activities under Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development in Latvia. Project applicants will be able to receive consultations and suggestions both while writing the project proposal and after it gets approved.
