The main objective of the project was to preserve and protect the values of Lake Engure and to contribute to the development of the region. Within the framework of the project, the situation of the coastal areas was improved, by providing suitable nesting sites for waterfowl. Cows and horses are acquired which graze in the meadows of the bank of Lake Engure.
