In addition, in connection with the global warming related climate change, the flood risk and the risk of having the bank wash-down in the territory of Riga are increasing. Therefore, in order to effectively prepare the city of Riga for climate changes and to reduce the negative impacts of floods on its territory, an in-depth research was needed.
